Neighborhood Food Drive

We are collecting non-perishable food for LifeNet4Families in Broward County.  We support this organization by sending volunteers to help as part of our Community Impact events.

LifeNet4Families, formerly called The Cooperative Feeding Program is an organization that helps families when they fall into economic hardship.  Their community kitchen is open from 9:00 – 11:00 AM and serves between 400-600 meals per day.  They provide a bag lunch for dinner and offer emergency food pantry items to families in crisis.  Click here if you would like to read more about them.

The need is greater than the supply.  LifeNet4Families is in need of these types of non-perishable items:

Low-sugar cereal Peanut Butter Pasta & Brown Rice
Canned food “Helper” Meals Mac-n-cheese
Canned beans Stuffing Mix Salad Dressing
Tomato sauce Shelf-stable Milk Paper towels
Granola Bars Pancake Mix Bar of soap
Snack Foods Muffin Mix Toilet paper
Canned Meats Coffee/Tea Personal care items

If you received one of our brown bags with a flyer attached, then you have a neighbor who is collecting in your neighborhood.  If you would like to participate in this food drive, please put your non-perishable items in the brown bag and leave outside of your front door.  The flyer should have a written pick up time on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or Sunday, July 21 from 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM.  Your neighbor will collect the food from your front porch and deliver it to the food collection site Saturday morning.

Thank You!

Impact our community in a big way! We need your help loading trucks.

On loading day, a truck will be provided from LifeNet4Families which we will fill with the donations brought in on that day. We need people to load the food into the truck and we will also need volunteers to sort and organize the food.

There are two shifts: 9:00 – 11:00 AM -OR- 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 21.
