Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

We are committed to helping every follower of Jesus to become like Jesus and to obey Jesus’ command to Go and Make Disciples.  A disciple is a follower of Jesus who hears, obeys, and shares the Good News of Salvation provided by Jesus with others and then trains others to do the same.  We want to help all believers to become like Jesus in thought, character, and action.  Jesus made disciples, and those disciples made disciples.  As we grow into the image of Jesus, we go on a mission with Jesus to make disciples.  That’s Discipleship.

Following Jesus

A 10-week Training for becoming like Jesus and helping others do the same.

“Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”  Matthew 4:19 (ESV)

This is Jesus’ invitation to know Him, grow to be like Him, and go on a Mission with Him.  The goal of this 10-week training is to help all followers of Jesus to know Him better, become more like Him, and join Him on His mission to reconcile everyone to God.  When we accept Jesus as our Savior and enjoy the blessings of forgiveness and the hope of eternal life, we also submit to Him as our Lord and King.  As Jesus surrendered to the will of His Father, He asks us to do the same.

You will meet weekly in a group setting for an hour and a half.

Introducing Jesus to Non-Believers

  • Pray: Ask God to lead you to the right people.  These may be people you know from work, your neighborhood, or your child’s school or team.

  • Narrow your list: The ideal group size will be approximately 4-8.

  • Determine a Time and Place: Your group could meet in your home or a neutral place like a coffee shop.  It is better if it is more private.

  • Choose Your Study:

Seeking God: These are weeks 2-5 of the Following Jesus training, modified into a study for non-believers. Click Here

Discovering Jesus: These are four conversations about the person who changed the world. Click Here
