Foster Care

Every Child Deserves a Home

4KIDS exists to bring hope, homes, and healing to kids and families in crisis across South Florida. In partnership with Community and volunteers like you, 4KIDS is committed to redefining foster care in our community, one child at a time.

There are several different ways you can get involved and make a difference!

Ways to Get Involved:

  • Fostering – Children are being removed from their homes every day. Learn how you can make a difference. 4KIDS offers training classes for anyone who has ever considered being a foster parent. You’ll get a full picture of what it means to be a foster parent and the impact it will make. 4KIDS has training classes coming up on November 6, 13, & 20 and offer Zoom classes every Saturday!

  • Respite Care – Respite care can be beneficial for children and families as it allows caregivers to step away from caregiving responsibilities and take a break. Even a short break can help contribute to a long lasting, healthy foster experience.

  • Family Advocacy Ministry (FAM) – Much like extended family, FAM is a team of 4-8 committed volunteers who support a foster family through prayer and service. Volunteers offer support in the following ways: consistent prayer, bringing meals, providing childcare, transporting children to appointments, mentoring or tutoring children, coordinating volunteers for a foster family, or supplying practical needs.

  • Care Portal – In every community, there are children and families at a point of crisis, who need help. In those same communities, there are churches and people who care and want to take action. But what they need is a connection point. Community and 4KIDS have partnered up in a new way to meet real needs and it’s through a technology platform called “CarePortal”.

  • Volunteer with 4Kids – Being a 4KIDS volunteer is a tangible way to provide hope to kids. Volunteers help 4KIDS grow resources, improve efficiencies, and provide better service to the children and families we serve.
