Scott has been the Pastor at Community since January 1994, following nine years as the Youth Pastor at First Christian Church in Clearwater. Scott earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministry from Johnson University Florida, and his Master’s Degree from Kentucky Christian University. Scott is the senior leader at Community, leading the ministry staff and speaking most Sundays.

A lifelong Florida resident, Scott was born in Jacksonville and married his wife, Lori, in 1983. Together, they have two adult sons who are raising families of their own. Scott and Lori cherish their role as grandparents and love spending time with their seven grandchildren. When he’s away from church responsibilities, Scott can often be found bass fishing in the Florida Everglades or cheering on his favorite team, the Miami Dolphins. Fins Up!
