“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 (NIV)

Community Christian Church is a serving church. We believe that we serve God by serving others. Jesus called Himself a servant, and to be like Jesus we serve.  We offer opportunities to serve:

PLEASE NOTE: All of these events will practice social distancing and will follow CDC guidelines.

This year Community Christian Church will be packing Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes for children worldwide just like we’ve done in years past. Only, this year we decided to do it in the Summer and we’re calling it “Christmas in July!”

Participating in Operation Christmas Child in the Summer will allow these “Special Access” shoeboxes to reach some of the most dangerous and hard-to-reach areas of the world that desperately need to hear the Gospel message.

Grab an empty red shoebox from our display in the lobby and check out all the information inside to join us in bringing joy to children less fortunate. These small gift-filled shoeboxes will travel to faraway countries where the message of Jesus is hard to come by, so be prayerful and get excited to shop for a child in need of some hope!

Important Guidelines Here

  • The flyer inside the box will tell you exactly what to pack and what not to pack; these details are also on the back of this page 🙂
  • Please note that all shoeboxes will be receiving their Gospel Message pamphlets, Christian gifts, mini bibles, and traditional Christmas wrapping once they have safely made it to their church locations on the other end of their journey. This is due to the dangerous nature of the countries these boxes will be traveling through, so simply stick to the Suggested Items list, and the Pastors receiving them will take care of the rest 🙂
  • You can pay your $9 shoebox travel fee via cash or check inside of an envelope and placed inside your shoebox, or you can pay online here.
  • You can build, fill and send a shoebox completely online here!

Enjoy shopping and filling your shoebox, then simply return your filled shoebox to the red Christmas sleigh by Sunday, August 1, and we’ll take care of the rest to make sure it reaches its final destination.

Please read the details inside your shoebox carefully, as this Operation Christmas Child shoebox packing is a little different than the ones we’ve hosted in the past. We’re praying over the journey of every shoebox and can not wait to see our Christmas sleigh overflow with filled boxes of hope.

Stop by the display at church for your empty shoebox and return your box by August 1, or check out this link for a way to fill and send a box completely online!

In every community, there are children and families at a point of crisis, who need help. In those same communities, there are churches and people who care and want to take action. But what they need is a connection point. CCC and 4kids have partnered up in a new way to meet real needs and it’s through a technology platform called “CarePortal”. Want more info on CarePortal and how you can help? Learn what it means to be a CarePortal Responder and join us!

Several children here in Broward County aren’t sure where their next meal will come from after they leave school on Friday. They are silently suffering from homelessness and hunger. As a community of believers, we can come together and do something about this.

We want to encourage you to collect and bring in the listed food items below and drop them off in the steel bin in the Main Lobby entrance of the church. You can also have these food items shipped directly to us if you’d rather not leave home. We collect these items all year long as a continuous way to give back and make a difference in our local Tamarac schools.
