A phase is a timeframe in a kids’ life when you can leverage distinctive opportunities to influence their future. Each phase requires something specific:

From Weeks to Months to age One, this phase requires showing up over time.

Ages One thru Two, this phase requires patience over time.

Ages Three thru Four, this phase requires embracing their wonder over time.

Kindergarten thru First Grade, this phase requires giving as much of your undivided attention and approval over time.

Second thru Third Grade, this phase requires you to have fun over time.

Fourth thru Fifth Grade, this phase requires letting them know you see their potential over time.

Sixth Grade, this phase requires showing you care and being consistent over time.

Seventh thru Eighth Grade, this phase requires you to encourage their process over time.

Ninth Grade, this phase requires you to know them and know where they are finding acceptance over time.

Tenth Grade, this phase requires negotiation over time.

Eleventh Grade, this phase requires helping them prove ways they can be trusted over time.

Age Eighteen and beyond, this phase requires you to re-engage your child in a new way, not as a parent but more as a peer as you transition your relationship over time.

As a church, we are committed to partnering with you at every phase and that’s why we are teaching our leaders and volunteers to embrace preschoolers to they feel safe. Engage children so they can believe. Affirm middle schoolers so they will keep believing and mobilize teenagers to participate in something significant.

PARENT WKND SESSION 1

Click for My Testimony Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I saw Satan fall like lightning
I saw darkness run for cover
But the miracle that I just can’t get over
My name is registered in Heaven
I believe in signs and wonders
I have resurrection power (Yes I do)
Still, the miracle that I just can’t get over
My name is registered in Heaven
Yeah, my praise belongs to You forever

[Chorus]
This is my testimony
From death to life
‘Cause grace rewrote my story
I’ll testify
By Jesus Christ, the righteous
I’m justified
This is my testimony
This is my testimony (Hey)

[Verse 2]
Come together, sons and daughters
Bought with blood and washed in water
Sing the graces of the Spirit, Son, and Father
Our God will finish what He started
Yes, our God will finish what He started (Oh)

[Bridge]
(Aah, C’mon now, every voice sing this out)
If I’m not dead, You’re not done
Greater things are still to come
Oh, I believe
If I’m not dead, You’re not done (Oh)
Greater things are still to come
Oh, I believe
If I’m not dead, You’re not done
(You’re not done, You’re not)
Greater things are still to come
Oh, I believe
If I’m not dead, You’re not done (Oh)
Greater things are still to come
Oh, I believe
My best days are up ahead of me, yeah

We Will Not Be Shaken Lyrics:
[Chorus]
For we trust in our God
And through His unfailing love
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken
For we trust in our God
And through His unfailing love
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken

[Verse]
Though the battle rages, we will stand in the fight
Though the armies rise up against us on all sides
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken

[Pre-Chorus]
For in the hour of our darkest day
We will not tremble, we won’t be afraid
Hope is rising like the light of dawn
Our God is for us, He has overcome

[Chorus]
For we trust in our God
And through His unfailing love
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken
For we trust in our God
And through His unfailing love
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken
We will not be shaken

[Bridge]
All those against Him will fall
For our God is stronger
He can do all things
No higher name we can call
For Jesus is greater
We can do all things
All those against Him will fall
For our God is stronger
He can do all things
No higher name we can call
For Jesus is greater
We can do all things

Click for Gone Lyrics

[Verse 1]
It wasn’t for nothing that You shed Your blood
So I’m gonna live like my shame is gone
Won’t be shackled to the way I was
Oh, I’m gonna live like my chains are

[Chorus]
Gone, gone
Now my sin is dead and gone
And I sing hallelujah
Done, done
He is risen, it is done
And I sing hallelujah
(Whoa, whoa)

[Verse 2]
Praise is a weapon that will overcome
Oh, I’m gonna shout like the battle’s won
Fall back devil ’cause your time is up
Oh, I’m gonna live like the stone is

[Chorus]
Gone, gone
Now my sin is dead and gone
And I sing hallelujah
Done, done
He is risen, it is done
And I sing hallelujah

[Bridge]
How great the power of the blood (Oh, oh)
I am the righteousness of God (Oh, oh)
How great the power of the blood (Oh, oh)
I am, I am
I am the righteousness of God, oh (Oh, oh)
Sing oh (Oh, oh)

Moving Forward Lyrics:
Verse 1
The clock is ticking
Your kingdoms moving
Moving closer

Fulfill Your promise
That Grace and Mercy
Will Abide here

Chorus
We have to go
The world has to know
Your Kingdoms moving forward

We can’t stay here
Cause You are near
Your Kingdoms moving forward

As You unite
Your heart to mine
Your Kingdoms moving forward

Verse 2
As we live your gospel
May we be your model
To the nations

And with great ambition
We receive your mission
Spark Revival

Bridge
We can’t stay here
We have to go
A love so great
That saves the soul

I once was blind
But now I see
We’ll be with Him for Eternity

SURROUNDED LYRICS:
There’s a table that You’ve prepared for me
In the presence of my enemies
It’s Your body and Your blood You shed for me
This is how I fight my battles

There’s a table that You’ve prepared for me
In the presence of my enemies
It’s Your body and Your blood You shed for me
This is how I fight my battles

I believe You’ve overcome
And I will lift my song of praise for what You’ve done

This is how I fight my battles
This is how I fight my battles
This is how I fight my battles
This is how

In the valley I know that you’re with me
Surely Your goodness and your mercy follows me
My weapons are praise and thanksgiving
This is how I fight my battles

I believe You’ve overcome
And I will lift my song of praise for what You’ve done

This is how I fight my battles
This is how I fight my battles
This is how I fight my battles
This is how

This is how I fight my battles
This is how I fight my battles
This is how I fight my battles
This is how

It may look like I’m surrounded but I’m surrounded by You
It may look like I’m surrounded but I’m surrounded by You
It may look like I’m surrounded but I’m surrounded by You
It may look like I’m surrounded but I’m surrounded by You
It may look like I’m surrounded but I’m surrounded by You
It may look like I’m surrounded but I’m surrounded by You
It may look like I’m surrounded but I’m surrounded by You

SACRED PARENTING

Gary Thomas

Parenting is a school for spiritual formation- and our children are our teachers.

In this six-session video-based small group bible study, Gary Thomas uses a unique lens to look at parenting, moving beyond raising great children to becoming more holy as a person.

What if one of God’s primary intentions are you as a parent isn’t about successfully raising perfect children, but about you becoming more holy? In Sacred Parenting Gary Thomas illustrates how God can transform lessons in raising children into opportunities to grow in the image of Christ.

It will help you and your group, rediscover parenting from a different perspective: as a method of spiritual formation expressly designed by God to shape your soul in ways you could not imagine! This study will help you dig deeper into learning how God can transform dirty diapers, toddler tantrums, and a teenager’s silence into occasions for becoming more like Christ.
